Some days you have to actually say out loud, and deep within the core of your soul that "Today, I choose Joy". Most days that joy is overflowing, but there's that one day, that one that it becomes a choice. The enemy is powerful that way, the jerk knows where it hurts deep within your heart.
My God formed that heart. My God is far greater.
I have wounds. Wounds that have healed, but like wounds of the flesh sometimes they leaves scars and sometimes those scars can hurt if pressed on just so. And you have a choice, tend to the scar or tend to the original wound.
A wound of the flesh on Jesus' hands. His scars are for me.
My scars are for me too.
A gentle reminder than I have a choice to remember those beautiful, joyous, glorious things that make up my life, and I guarantee not all of those beautiful, glorious things are the easy things. It's the struggles that make me.
Today, I choose Joy!
